Juneteenth New Haven 2022

Join The Descendants of the CT 29th Colored Regiment for their sixth annual Juneteenth event on Saturday, June 18th at the CT Violence Intervention Program, 230 Ashmun Street, from noon until 6:00 pm. The Harlem Renaissance is the inspiration of this year’s theme – Juneteenth New Haven! Revival of Cultural, Personal, and Social Wellness.

¡Cuba Vive! Nachito Herrera & His Havana Jazz Club

Ignacio “Nachito” Herrera first wowed audiences at the age of 12 when he performed Rachmaninoff’s “Concerto No. 2” with the Havana Symphony Orchestra. Since then, he has become one of the leading voices of Cuba’s jazz scene. Herrera tours internationally with his band and collaborates with musical groups around the world. He is “explosive, crowd-pleasing. rhythmically intense. Romantic. Dynamic. Jaw-droppingly good.” (Minneapolis Star-Tribune)
