Love146 Rapid Response Backpack Drive

When Love146 first engages with a child, the child receives a Rapid Response bag that includes many essentials ranging from personal hygiene products, to blankets, to emergency phones and even teddy bears!

Yale Friends of Love146 is organizing a Holiday Rapid Response Backpack Drive that runs from November 1st through December 7th.

We need your help to meet our goal of 20 Rapid Response Backpacks! The contents of each backpack total $100. You can donate by purchasing items from our Amazon Wish List using the QR code or via the Venmo tag on the flyer.

Join the Future Leaders of Yale, Working Women’s Network, Yale African American Affinity Group, and Yale Latino Networking Group for a virtual information session with the Connecticut Women Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF) to learn more about the Let’s Get Loud: Voter Guide to the 2022 Election and how to make your voice heard this election cycle. This voter guide is designed to provide support to women in CT who are ready to advocate and organize for women’s economic security.

A Crash Course In Colloquial Spanish - Featuring Kimberly Abarca and Maria Piñango

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, please join the Yale Latino Networking Group for a crash course in colloquial Spanish! Kimberly Abarca (YC’22) will provide an opportunity to learn some basic Spanish words and phrases that can be used in everyday life. Maria Piñango, Yale Associate Professor of Linguistics, will then briefly present on “What is the Meaning of the Spanish ‘estar’?”

Plan 2 Prosper - Financial Planning for the Yale LatinX Community

La Casa Cultural and Sherwood Financial Group are offering a no-cost, 7-part Workshop Series covering all aspects of Personal Financial Planning. We welcome Students, Staff, Post Docs, Faculty, and Alumni. It will be held on last Tuesday of each month at 5:30-7pm in HQ 276.
