Juneteenth New Haven 2023

Join The Descendants of the CT 29th Colored Regiment for their 7th Annual Juneteenth event on Saturday, June 17th at the CT Violence Intervention Program, 230 Ashmun Street, from 12-6 pm. The social wellness of all people of color is the inspiration of this year’s theme – Pan Africanism: Unified by History, Connected in Culture, and Focused on the Future.

YLNG Spring Social

Join the Yale Latino Networking Group (YLNG) for our first in person Spring Social since 2019! There will be food, fun, and music for the whole family, so register today!

VIRTUAL: Huneebee Project Information Session

Yale’s affinity groups are continuing the conversation around the importance of Board Membership in the Greater New Haven Region, featuring Huneebee Project.

Huneebee Project is a five-year-old business born right before the COVID-19 pandemic. This organization aims to build hives to cultivate social entrepreneurship with disinvested communities and those aging out of the foster care system. They use urban agriculture to invest in youth through building, creating, and cultivating lands to harvest and care for various species of bees.

Fair Haven Day

Join us for a parade and festival celebrating community, local art and artists, culture, sports, creativity, entrepreneurship, and partnership, presented by and for the Fair Haven neighborhood. Fair Haven Day begins with the Fair Haven Community Parade organized by the Mary Wade Home, followed by a full day of activities at the Arts & Ideas Fair Haven Neighborhood Festival.

Greater New Haven Heart Walk

Yale University, Yale Cardiovascular Medicine, and Yale New Haven Health have again joined forces as proud sponsors of the 2023 American Heart Association’s Greater New Haven Heart Walk! The Heart Walk is an opportunity to raise funds to support lifesaving research for heart disease and stroke.

Mother’s Day Outreach 2023

Yale’s Affinity Groups, Yale Police Department, New Haven Fire Department, New Haven Police Department, CT Police, Yale New Haven Health Smilow Cancer Hospital, Yale Cancer Center, and Greater Purpose are partnering to collect toiletries and cosmetics for mothers at Life Haven, The Apt Foundation, and The Kinship Program. Items are being collected through May 3rd. Donation boxes have been set up around campus. Additional donations can be ordered directly from our Amazon wishlist.
