Plan 2 Prosper - Financial Planning for the Yale LatinX Community

La Casa Cultural and Sherwood Financial Group are offering a no-cost, 7-part Workshop Series covering all aspects of Personal Financial Planning. We welcome Students, Staff, Post Docs, Faculty, and Alumni. It will be held on last Tuesday of each month at 5:30-7pm in HQ 276. While this is a hybrid event, in-person space is limited to 40 as we will work in groups. Light dinner will be provided. Complete this form to register for entire series. Brazilian Jazz Performance with Isabella Mendes

Isabella Mendes, a native of São Paulo whose work is rooted in Brazilian jazz and bossa nova, will perform for the Yale community as part of the Latinx Heritage Month. She will share music, history, and culture, and hold a short Q&A at the end. This event is co-sponsored by the Yale Latino Networking Group and Yale Recovery Latino Collective.

Food Truck Event: Tata's Restaurant

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, please join the Yale Latino Networking Group and Yale Police Department to support Chef Efrain Nieves, owner of Tata’s Restaurant and Food Truck. Chef Efrain has been providing authentic Puerto Rican cuisine for 14 years. The first 250 people to make a purchase at Tata’s food truck will receive free “frituras”. The food truck will be located at Bristol Street, behind the Yale Health Plan Parking Garage (55 Lock Street).

Noche Latina

Yale Athletics is hosting their annual Noche Latina Night in celebration of Latin Heritage Month. Join us at the women’s soccer game on Saturday, September 24th at 7pm at Reese Stadium. The evening includes free t-shirts and tacos for the first 150 fans. Admission and parking are free. Stop by the Yale Latino Networking Group table to meet our members and for free swag! You’re also welcome to sit with us during the game, look for our YLNG banner.

The NAACP Harmony Classic 2022

Join us for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Harmony Classic football game on Saturday, October 1, where the Yale Bulldogs take on the Howard Bison at the Yale Bowl.

For over ten years, the Connecticut NAACP State Conference has been hosting this event, which includes marching band performances and more, to inspire peace, fellowship, and harmony on campus. Yale joins the NAACP in its commitment to harmony and belonging.

Bron & Noir Society's: CT Men of Color Flash Mob

This event will highlight some of Connecticut’s most prominent and influential men of color by highlighting their excellence, contributions to their profession and/or community, as well as their influence and personal brand. Every man invited will be wearing their best tailored suit and accessories, similar to the Fashion Flash Mobs in Philadelphia, Houston, and Baltimore.
