Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Junta and the Peabody Museum!
Join Junta for Progressive Action on Saturday, October 15th at 69 Grand Ave, New Haven from 1-4 pm for a ¡Fiesta Pop Up! that will feature family-friendly educational activities and interactive stations with Peabody Museum collections staff with support from the Yale Latino Networking Group, FH Free Library, various community resources, and more.
¡Fiesta Latina! is a long-standing community celebration of traditional and contemporary Latin American cultures co-founded by the Yale Peabody Museum and Junta for Progressive Action. Together we have created a tradition of bringing together artists, scholars, musicians, scientists, and community leaders from across Yale and New Haven to learn from and honor the perspectives and accomplishments of the Latin American diaspora.
For this year’s celebration, Junta will be hosting the Fiesta Latina pop-up gathering with a free vaccine clinic outdoors at our home location.
