The YUWO Scholarship Program

March 15, 2019

The Yale University Women’s Organization (YUWO) offers Scholarship Awards to women associated with the Yale community through their own affiliation or that of their immediate family members (past or present), whose formal education has been interrupted or delayed and who wish to resume their studies or enhance their careers. Applicants are judged upon merit and need. The award may only be used for course tuition and academic fees. The number and dollar value of awards vary. Most awards range from $1,000 to $3,000. Several annual scholarships are awarded in addition to three named scholarships: the Kay Ross Scholarship, honoring the founder of the YUWO Scholarship Program; the Magee Fenn Scholarship, in memory of the first chair of the YUWO Scholarship Committee; and the Gustave and Carol Lynn Sirot Scholarship, which seeks a candidate 35 years or older.
