Join YLNG for a mental health session with guest speaker Lolly Be, LMSW and social activist. Lolly Be will discuss the ways in which trauma is surfacing for people of various identities during the uprising and reconciling of racial identities in the United States. She is a bridge builder between academic institutional structures of this society, and the boots on the ground, decolonizing movement of anti-colonial liberation. As a social worker, Lolly has worked in various crisis zones, carrying the wisdom of western psychology and indigenous healing approaches to people in need. She speaks about the intersection of identity, power, culture, and community care. Lolly’s approach integrates therapeutic modalities with the movement, breathing of yoga postures, and an awareness of our spirit. Lolly will facilitate us on a journey to be balanced in mind, body, and soul.
