STEAMFest 2015

What: ESPN and the Bristol Boys & Girls Club presents STEAMFest 2015. This event will offer a variety of activities, presentations and displays centering around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) for students and their parents. This event is free and open to the public.

 

Who Can Help: We are looking for two types of volunteers: (1) those who have an expertise in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and/or Math fields. These volunteers will be asked to provide an Activity, Presentation or Display relevant to their business mission. Or (2) Those who want to help out at the event in any other way.

 

Goals: (1) To build awareness about STEAM for students (and their parents), (2) to demonstrate to students how much fun these disciplines can be, (3) to show students how these disciplines are inherent in many of the things we do every day, (4) to have students learn about the career and college opportunities avail-able to them in the STEAM field and (5) Showcase employment and education-al opportunities in their own backyard.
