Perspectives of Women in Science Lectureship

Hannah Valantine, MD, MRCP, FACC, and the first Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity at the National Institutes of Health, will speak on “Eliminating the Gender Leadership Gap in Academic Medicine.”

The purpose of this lectureship is to highlight a female physician-scientist, who will discuss her scientific journey, including personal and professional opportunities and challenges that shaped her path to a rewarding research career.

In addition to the Lecture and Reception, there will be an “Open Mike Q&A” in the Cohen Auditorium (entrance is 230 So. Frontage Road) from 2:15-3:15 for students.
