Adopt-A-Family was created in response to the overwhelming interest in the Yale community to lend a helping hand to families temporarily residing in the Hillside Family Shelter at Christian Community Action, Inc.
Join Greater Purpose, Yale‛s Affinity Groups, Yale Police Department, New Haven Fire Department, Firebird Society of Greater New Haven, Ice the Beef, Eat Up Foundation and The New Haven Club of The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club’s Inc., as they kick off the 2022 Adopt-A-Family for the holidays
Here are the ways that you can help:
- Adopt an individual or an entire family
- Donate gift cards from local stores
- Volunteer to wrap gifts
- Monetary donations welcome
- Spread the word - let friends and colleagues know about this initiative
Donations will be accepted at the New Haven Fire Department - Westville, 105 Fountain Street, as well as delivered to Katherine Viera or Tanya Colon.
