2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

September 29, 2019

The Yale Latino Networking Group (YLNG) is leading the way to Alzheimer’s first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® on Sunday, September 29th at Lighthouse Point Park. Registration is at 8:30 am, and the walk begins at 10:30 am. The walk is family and pet friendly.

Did you know:

  • Dementia is a looming but unrecognized public health crisis in Hispanic/Latino communities in the United States.

  • During the first half of the 21st century, the number of Hispanic elders suffering from Alzheimer’s and related dementias could increase more than six-fold, from fewer than 200,000 today to as many as 1.3 million by 2050.

To sign up to walk with the YLNG Team, and/or to help with our fundraising efforts, please go to: http://act.alz.org/goto/yaleylng. All team walkers will receive free swag!
