The 5th Adopt a Family for the Holidays initiative and 2nd Community Toy Bazaar, organized by the Yale Latino Networking Group, supported by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Working Women’s Network, and Disability Alliance at Yale, among others, brought joy to the New Haven community. Four families with 14 children were adopted, and each child received thoughtful gifts from their wish lists. The Community Toy Bazaar received overwhelming support from various partners and collected over 600 toys and more than 200 articles of clothing. The event achieved resounding success, featuring a surprise visit from NHPD’s Chief Karl Jacobson and Assistant Chief David Zannelli, fostering a festive and inclusive atmosphere. A special thanks to all the volunteers and supporters who made this event possible.
