What a great Progreso Latino Forum on the Latino/a Political Identity last week!
Featured speaker Dr. Jessica L. Lavariega Monforti of Pace University shared statistics about Latino/a/x voting habits and how powerful the Latino community is in advancing matters important to it, if its members had a unified identity.
Lavariega Monforti shared changing demographics and demonstrated the power of Latino/a/x as an identity and a political force. Her presentation influenced how guests identified themselves before and after the remarks.
